KOYORI PROJECT 2020
By Lanna Culture and Crafts Association
The collection is inspired by the traditional festival of Luk Chuang, in which Hmong people throw a ball to each other as a sign of friendship and affection. The concept of new products "Luk Chuang Collection" is for those who are close to the heart. Luk Chuang Collection consists of three products: hemp hat, pillow, and lampshade. Hemp fabric is effective in blocking UV rays and preventing allergies, so we developed a UV-resistant hat. Pillow was made of a hemp core for preventing allergies. The patchwork lampshades were made from scraps of indigo-dyed batik cloth. Each product was embroidered with playful Hmong characters to convey their warmth.
