CO- Pencil
Pica x Charco-
Designer: Pichakorn Meedech, Teerasak Limtatanakul
Charcoal is part of our childhood memory, we grew up with them. We can see it everywhere in our daily life in Thailand. But what do we really know about them? Thinking of it, we all think it as a source of building a fire, the source of creating heat but actually, Coal has its own multiverse benefits such as improving the quality of water as a filter, efficiency in absorptions – smells, odor, heavy metal solvents, etc., and now the pencil is made with charcoal.
Pencils have been used as a tool to express stories, histories, feelings, and emotions for centuries. For us, a pencil is not only stationery, but it is also a thing that identifies the true color of the user. A pencil can also present the image of the individual user through his or her outfits. Considering a pencil can be more than ordinary stationery, we create a new way of pencil and make it more special. As we attempt to expand the value of stationery and emphasis on materials at the same time, this pencil is specially made of charcoal, which is considered as a non-renewable fuel. With the new design and effort to increase the value of normal stationery and wasted fuel, this pencil will be more than just a pencil.
